How Can I Help Ben Stamm compete from the Heartland to Nome?

Becoming Part of the Team:  Ben has become the "First" Wisconsin Resident to ever finish the race.  There are ways you can be "part of the team" in the world famous Iditarod, "the last great race on the earth".  The cost of training and running the race is very expensive. With your help Ben's next dream of a being a competitive team can be realized.

Sponsor a Mile $10.00

The team will travel almost 1,200 miles between Anchorage and Nome.  A Mile Sponsor helps pay the cost for one mile on the Iditarod trail.  You may sponsor as many miles as you wish.

Sponsor a Checkpoint $75.00

Food, bedding and extra gear such as replacement runner  plastics, spare dog lines, and batteries must be sent to re-supply points along the trail.  Good preparation at these checkpoints is essential to a safe and successful Iditarod race.  By choosing and sponsoring a specific checkpoint, you help pay for the cost of preparing and shipping equipment and supplies along the Iditarod Trail.

Checkpoint Sponsors will receive a certificate of sponsorship and pick their own personal checkpoint to help fund.

Sponsor a Dog

Sponsor a Wheel Dog  -  Under $125.00

You can choose a specific dog to sponsor.  You will receive a certificate of sponsorship and a pair of dog booties from the race.

Sponsor a Team Dog  -  $125.00 & Up

You can choose a specific dog to sponsor.  You will receive a certificate of sponsorship and an autographed Ben Stamm Iditarod 2004 T-shirt.

Sponsor a Lead Dog  -  $500.00 or more

You can choose a specific dog to sponsor.  You will receive a certificate of sponsorship, an autographed Ben Stamm Iditarod 2004 T-shirt, and a Trapper Ben Hat.

Sponsor the Kennel

It takes a lot to get to the starting line!  In addition to competition costs, there are year round costs to maintain a kennel.

Although only 16 dogs make the cut to run in the Iditarod, a competitive kennel contains at least another 10 dogs and pups at the sidelines, all of who require care, feeding, and veterinary attention.

It takes quite a lot of equipment to train and prepare the teams.  Extra sleds, harnesses and ganglines are needed to run the dogs, along with four-wheelers for summer training.

**Anyone who donates $1000.00 or more can be listed as a major sponsor.

Your web address can be linked to our web page and listed on the sponsor list of the Iditarod web page, which received 110 million hits last year.  To have your logo (or name) displayed by the musher on his gear and/or equipment, please contact Ben directly to discuss.
