Dustin Burkhalter from Monroe, WI not only
got to go to Anchorage to watch Uncle Bennie start the Iditarod but was
also lucky enough to ride in the tag sled for the start of the race.
Bennie let him maneuver the tag sled by himself when they came into the
first stop. Also below is nephew Matt Stamm on the main sled.
Ben & Alice at the hotel in Anchorage the night before the race when a banner from Argyle Schools was delivered to wish him Good Luck. Its hard to see in this picture but Ben is wearing a sweater with Argyle school colors, Orange & Black.
We received a lot of emails and letters from kids all over the country. We would like to share just a few of them. Kids - keep the letters coming!!!
